What would you do? RMA or keep cool?

so my 7990 is giving me small problems, its not terrible but not good either

How i run (no MSI Afterburner)
Idle: 57c - 4 screens attached < seems good
Load: 75-77c - normally

How i could run (MSI Afterburner with fan profile)
Idle 44c (1 screen)
Load: tbc.

if the card ever reaches 80c+ (sometimes happens on games Like Batman or heavy usage games) the graphic card artefacts, in one of two ways.

1. Random Pink square will pop up Now & again & annoy me

2. quick lines of black texture stretching or flickering

so the question is would you keep it cool & keep it, or would you RMA it?

if it only happens at 80c onwards is it really a problem?

got 2x 570s i could use whilst rmaing

Tbh id RMA it, I'm not too familiar with temp limits on and cards but surely on a dual gpu card 80c should be within limits?

If you are getting artefacts in normal usage then i would rma

It might or might not help, but have you tried a different driver version to see if the problem would go away?

Your temps are only going to get worse over time with dust buildup. I would bite the bullet and RMA. I just sent back 3 280x toxics for the same issue (although it's VRAM temps causing my issues).

sent of for RMA, when they find it faulty i wonder what turnaround outcome will be.. time to get my 570s

Hope it goes well for you, at least you have a couple of decent cards to tide you over.

RMA due to the artifacting. I would have thought that it should be ok with those temps, but evidently not.

Just wondering, how much would you get back if you RMA it? I have similar problems with my 7990 as well...

no idea I could just get a replacement...

all my gigabyte cards die early so rather shop credit/cash tbh.

That's pretty odd, mine had no problems running up to 90C.
