what would you do with £300?

I am building a pc for a mate and would like you opinion on what i should do with the £300 he wants to spend.

Info
will not be using it for gaming just genral tasks, web browsing etc.
i will be overclocking

i know £300 is a small budget but i am going to be buying all the parts second hand so should get some good bundle deals on ebay!

I could play it safe and get old tech like a q6600. the only reason i suggest this is because there are lots of good bundle deals on ebay with q6600 as the processor

If you can better something better than these for the budget, then q6600 would be a good choice.
