What would you do?

So I have a gtx 280 that I will trade in, I still have one in my system though.

I can get £150 cash or £187 trade. I can then either use the cash on water cooling or go trade and buy a xbox 360 premium boxed for £105 then will have the rest for games.

Or i can keep my second gtx 280.

I run at 1920 x 1200 with an i7 so sli really scales well and part of me thinks the the i7 is wasted without 2. But i am getting 100fps on crysis at times so is it really worth it.

The reason that i want an xbox 360 anyway is to play with friends.

What would you do???

You seemed to have answered your own question. I would go with the Xbox, you system is good enough without the 2nd card or overclocking so I think water would just be for the hell of it.

Seriously though, you have your heart set on a 360, yes? If you were to get it, wouldn't that automatically mean you'd be gaming less on your PC? Perhaps SLI (while nice) wouldn't be as attractive if you knew you weren't going to be using it as much? Might seem like a bit of a luxury. Same for watercooling, especially if the system is running as well as you say.

But I really think this is a question you can only answer yourself

get a 360 you cant go wrong i do most my gaming on it

plus it would be cheaper for you to buy a 360 then all them to buy pcs init

150 cash is below standard for a 280gtx, which card is it?

You have access to mm by now if you ask for it (check faq if unsure), I would sell it on there

i would go with the 360.
you then open up your options to start streaming medis to your tv through the xbox from your pc through windows media centre...

since i set that up and ripped my dvd's to avi's i no longer have a need for a dvd player or stereo

If you're thinking about it in the first place... I would get the 360.

Like others have said, sounds like you're happy enough with your system the way it is now
