Hey guys & girls,

Been thinking a lot lately about my camera and the glass i own and wanting to change it up and actually take my photography in a new direction of weddings and motion/music production along with candid and family/portrait work.

I currently own a 50D and i love it to bits, but finding i'm getting kinda the MOST i can out of it now and wanting to push new boundaries. I'm wanting a 5D MKII for the video capability and the full frameness but i also have a 70-200 2.8 MK II which i tend not to use much any more but when i do I LOVE IT to bits.

In a nut shell i'm thinking of selling the 70-200 to buy my self a 5D II body and selling my 50D to purchase a 24-70 2.8.

Now with what i'm looking to do and the versatility would i regret loosing my 70-200 i know it sounds silly me asking this but i cant think clearly at the moment and would just love for you to voice some honest open opinions about the situation and what you would do if you were in such shoes of mine.

Thank you for taking the time to go over this,

Ben

Body is one thing but never sell top notch glass unless its really redundant else you'll regret it. The 70-200 II especially as it is one of Canon's finest and a perfect lens for wedding and candids.

No way in hell would I sell that lens. Just save for the camera, as you're not going to get a better 70-200 any time soon, and if you miss it the chances are that it'll cost you more than it originally did to buy it again.
