Say you had £300 nicker burning a hole in your pocket.

I have-
1090t @ 4 ghz
forumla iv motherboard
16gb ram
xfire 5870's
23" 1080p samsung monitor
crucial m4 120gb ssd

What would you spend money on if anything please? I play BF3 mainly, but my thoughts are, whilst its running fine on medium-ish settings, should I look to add more oomph whilst I have some spare cash.......

i have an antec df-85, i know, i know people find it fugly. i am content with it however. i don't really need to upgrade anything do i?

I had that case.

Great cooling (but got seriously loud with the rear controller and the front knobs turned up) and a bit of a dust magnet on the front three meshes.

I don't think you need to change anything, your are just looking for an excuse to blow cash, keep it for something meaningful (haswell next year)

Either keep it as is if your ok with it.

If I had that and wasn't content I'd replace the CPU/MOBO and xfire 5870's to an i5-3570K system and spend whatever is left on 1 graphics card.

You would be able to get a decent amount selling old parts, but I can't really say as that's against forum rules.

I have the same CPU with a radeon 6870. You have more than enough ram so the only thing I would upgrade is CPU/mobo/GPU.

I don't understand why xfired 5870's are on medium-ish settings.

One 5870 does bloody well at mostly ultra for me... My cpu and OC wouldn't make that much difference I'm sure.
