Hi every, opinions please, posted on pre sales asking questions about the OCUK tech labs 7970, guys were great, couldnt do enough. Purchased the card, card arrived super fast but card spec differs from description, should be 1010MHz but card recieved is 925MHz its a vx7970 3GBD5-2DHE. I then posted a query as nothing else in the box other than the card also, a bit of google searching tells me it should have several cables and stuff. Only contact I have had back is someone telling me it should be posted somewhere else after it was moved by a moderator, nothing all day! As you can imagine this is a bit of a contrast from when I wanted to buy it, I am a bit ****ed, and to be honest just want to send the card back and go elsewhere.

Phone forums are great but a lot more can be derived from a chat. alos click on your name and see posts from your self should help you find it

If it came without any cables or anything then there is a chance you may have been sent a clearance/B-Grade version of the cards, these usually have some apparatus missing.

The easiest way to fix this would be to get on the phone to an OCUK representative who will guide you on what to do next. I imagine that they would ask you to return that card and swap it for the correct one.

The original card they used was an MSI 7970 OC. Since they don't stock them anymore, they look to have changed it to a VTX card and not updated the listing.

The VTX card they're using has a reference cooler and isn't the the dual fan VTX7970 shown in the listings that runs at 1050mhz.

Hi SpeckleD
Your best bet is to contact OcUK shop directly, either via the phone or via the support forum.

I shall close this thread now.
