Forgot to add that my GTX460 is running in SLI.
Two 460s will still struggle I imagine - BF3 likes 2GB at high settings.
What would you do ???

I would say its probably because of the CPU man, 2.8ghz isn't that great.. Have you overclocked it? if not you should do and see if you have a better experience on high settings. Also SLi is going to push your cpu that little bit more so this could be the reason you cant play smooth at high settings. Again play some BF3 (on highest setting) and mid game check to see what your CPU usage is.
