After starting my WC build last night, it wasn't until I had done everything else that I realised I had an issue.

One of the GPU water blocks for my titan is faulty, one of them is fine and fitted, the second I'll have to send back to ocuk.

My question is, would you finish your WC loop with one card and then have to drain the whole system, fit the second card and then fill up the system again? Or would you wait for the new block to come back?

I have no system atm and do all my internet use on my tab.

I personally would fit it and refit the loop when the second GPU is back, but i dont mind since i seem to be constantly doing it anyway.

By the time you get the GPU back the coolant should still be non conductive and if you drain most of it, go to work and then come back, there should be little enough fluid in the blocks that you could carefully disconnect it GPU side with paper towels around it, in case it does have a drop or two left to spill.

If you do a long leak test after, the PC should be dry even if a drop spills (which it wont and if it does, its non conductive anyway).

Really depends on whether you are comfortable with doing it.

Wait,a lot of mucking about if you ask me,the turn around from ocuk is going to be quick so this time next week it will all be done and fitted into your rig.

I would wait, fitting it twice increases the risk of something else breaking, or am I the only person with that kind of luck lol.

TBH, i think risk shouldn't come into it. Fitting WCing isn't risky if done with a bit of care, I myself have never suffered from component damage or anything. All you need to do when you get the second would be to drain, disconnect one bit of tubing (cut it a bit to get a tighter fit for when it goes back on the barb) and add the next GPU in. Then it takes a few minutes to fill it up.

In terms of actual work to fit it in, only like half hour. Rest of it is leak testing, which will need to be done anyway and can be left running while you go to work, sleep or whatever.

If you are comfortable re-fitting it and would like to game and stuff until you get the second card, itd be worth it. If you think its a lot of bother, then its not going to be worth it :)
