What would you do?

I play overwatch. A lot. Nothing else.

Currently have a 980Ti and a Korean IPS 1440 screen.

Ive been toying with the idea of getting a 144hz display. But I really don't want to pay £650~ on a monitor that is plagued with issues.

Would going for a slightly cheaper TN display be better?

Something like a 24inch TN? How are the colours on the iiyama ones?

I would go for something like the Dells but they are still £500...

Basically. Do I go from IPS to TN to increase my hz from 60 to 144?

depends what is more important to you, colours or fps. is your korean overclockable?

It was. 120hz but now won't go past 60 without artifacts.. Lol

I didn't play overwatch. I played cs. I was much better than that than I am at overwatch.

ok did it make you better at cs:go? basically the difference between 120 and 144hz isnt much.

but if you really just care about how well you do, id say a fast TN would be good.

Its not no. Right now I'm comparing 60hz to 144hz. Basically wondering how far different the modern TN will look compared to my Korean IPS. Im guessing not much?. Do overclockers still offer 14 day DSR?

i believe they do, 60hz to 144hz is a big jump and noticeable. should also have a faster response time as well assuming you get a fast TN.

you will however, lose colour fidelity and viewing angles, if that affects you.
