I was just reading this story: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6290361.stm

"I remember looking up and I recall a man I know now as Mr Mohammed was screaming and shouting and there was smoke issuing from his back."
He said: "I was shouting 'what have you done, what have you done?'"
The court heard that several members of the public gave chase to Mr Mohammed, including a 71-year-old former soldier who pursued him up an escalator.

What if it was you on that train in that cabin? What would you have done, if anything?

All I can say is that I would have been busy cleaning the poop off my trousers. Oh, and after that I would have run after him ala Lee Majors and Karate chopped his head off.

Probably have tried to do something but been somewhat taken aback and startled to really be thinking straight...can say this with some level of confidence having spotted and chased shoplifters before (multiple times in fact, working at Halfords in Wolverhampton AKA smackhead central), but generally by the time you realise exactly whats going on the person is too far gone!

I'd love to say I'd wrestle the bloke to the ground and kneel on his neck until the five-oh turned up though :D

I hope I'd have given chase. I hope I'd have caught him.

Wishful thinking would be along the lines of beat the living crap out of the coward! In reality I think i'd still be in shock from nearly being blown apart.

Even with other people chasing him? What's he going to do? Unless he's got a second bomb.

I doubt I would have recovered from the shock to even worry if he had a second bomb.

I would love to think I would be allowed to chase him, but common sense tells me that doing so (in this country) would have got me in more trouble than the potential suicide bomber.

I might have chased him, but only to identify him. I wouldn't have gone witin maybe 20 metres of him, but would have ran after him shouting 'he's got a bomb' etc in the hope that a cop would be nearby and stop him for me.

Lol. He'd be let out with protection and a new life while you go to prison :p

If I wasnt too shocked from the incident I would have definately chased him and call me a keyboard warrior all you like but I would have given him the beating of his life as im sure a lot of the other people pursuing him would.
