My current gpu is getting rma’ed when it comes back I’m putting it into the kids pc.

I’m happy with new or used, but I’m setting a hard cap for 650. What gpu should I buy.

A friend said get a 2080ti for £350 I didn’t know if he was talk the Micky lol.
I have no interest in ray tracing but is the gpu it’s self up to 1440 max setting in AAA titles

you could wait for the 4060's to launch, based on current pricing of 4070 Ti/80/90 the 4060's may be around that price point or drop down a generation and look at the 3070/Ti's that are still available. Not sure 20 series are still in stock unless looking 2nd hand but for your money I would buy new.

I'm not up to speed with AMD alternatives these days but usually they price competitively

Be warned however that the "4060" is likely to be another cut down piece of crap like the "4070ti"...

And you have to be wary of used cards right now as a lot of them are likely to have been mined on, and you've got no warranty. The used market is terrible for pricing these days, I used to buy all my cards 2nd hand of EBAY because there were a lot ogf great bargains - that's just not the case any more. Used cards are often going at close to new prices.

is there a massive differance with XT and none XT, as there is a £120 price difference

Decide for yourself:

I really would spend the extra and go for the 6800XT. You can get one on the net for well under £600. If your goal is maxing AAA titles for under £650 and you don't care about RT, there's really only one option.

You ca

Get the xt version, it the best card new for the money. I had one and it was a fantastic card, you can pick them up new for less than £600
With the super cheap cards you suffer on the cooler, I’ve seen a good one for 630. The none xt would be 510 both new

This one isn't a "super cheap" card with a crap cooler though, and it's £70 less. But up to you, what's the card you like for £630?

PS - If you want the absolute best of the best AMD card, then you buy Sapphire.
