Yeah, XBox music is a good. There is a mind mapping piece of software in the store somewhere which I quite like but lots of room for improvement. Some of the games are quite impressive.
I spend most of my time in desktop land though. The general Microsoft account integration is great imo.
In metro mode... well, it's different, but I feel I'm not taking full advantage of it since I don't have touchscreen.
The Microsoft account is nice, but I converted it to a local account since I won't be near an internet connection most of the time (installed it on a laptop).
Oh, OneNote is worth checking out if you're an Office user. I would say it's worth a look just to see the radial UIs alone personally. It could be a hint towards what a future Metro-style Office could be like.
It doesn't detect album art in files and seems insistent on matching things to the cloud. Which it's getting wrong. Metallica - I Disappear has had the artist changed to (in the app - thankfully it doesn't alter files) Graystar
In my experience its execution is horrid! At least for local files.
