Its the subject matter that makes the impact I think, the others I'm just not quite as interested in, their fine images, they just dont grab me as the last did.
Awesome squizzel :D

The pictures are of a cemetary/nature reserve and I don't know how to get the best shots out of it. There's so much beautiful architecture but the background is so complex that I'm not sure I'm getting the best out of the shots.

I think it might serve if I were to go back there on a clear sunny day just before sunset after I get a Sigma 10-20 and take some WIDE perspective shots that illustrate how its a cross between a graveyard and a jungle

The vine across the stone in #1 looks like it could make a more interesting shot if its the main focus. I didnt even notice it the first time! The nearly glowing "Mary" on the stone pulled my eye. Hmmmm. Selective colouring perhaps?

third one's a winner for me. Little girl on the statue is quite disturbing. Although I like the effect, my preference would've been to better expose/hdr the sky as the white is quite distracting for me. That being said, it could quite easily be the cover from a horror DVD or something.

I like the theme... but personally would work more with different light effects and maybe color? Night shoots might be an idea?
Just a thought...
