After reading Dan Browns entire collection, every other book just seems lame.

I absolutly loved Deception Point and Digital Fortress, not to mention the rest

I just cant find another author that keeps me turning the pages, although Chris Ryans not bad, iv done all his too ..

Im not a serious bookworm, only when im travelling to work

Babylon 5 - a Call to Arms (goes a lot more indepth than the film)
Peter Kay - The Sound of Laughter (hilarious)
Warran Fahy - Fragment (Hard to get into, although i found myself wanting more inbetween reading and ended up really enjoying it)
Jane Struthers - Red Sky at Night, The book of lost countryside wisdom (there's some very informative stuff in it)

I'm about to read the Star Trek Destiny trilogy of Books and A Singular Destiny, which follows the aftermath of the trilogy...

I never thought of myself as a reader, but i find it great now and it i have slept pretty well for months now since i have been reading

Modular, there is a section titled Music, Box Office, TV & Books for this sort of discussion.

There are also several threads for this purpose already.

thanks but no thanks, hip hop? no me pal, me use real instruments

That is the forum this thread should be in - Music, Box Office, TV & Books

In answer to the thread though, in the middle of the Jerle Shannara trilogy by Terry Brooks, keeping an eye open for his other series'

Going through Bill Bryson's 'A short history of nearly everything' at the moment, brilliant book.

Life of Pi next :)

Finished Antony Beevor - Berlin the other week.
Now reading Fear And Loathing, but also got American Psycho beside the toilet.

Pegasus Bridge: D-Day - the Daring British Airborne Raid by Stephen E. Ambrose (Band of Brothers).

Great easy read, involving from the start, go for it. :)

Excuse me? Sure Dan Brown's books are readable but to say all other books are lame is pushing it a little. :p :) I did really like Digital Fortress though!

Just finished listening (Audible) to "A short history..." for the third time. I've read the book once as well. love it. Currently listening to "At Home" by Bill Bryson.

As for actually reading well I've just gone through David Eddings The Elenium and The Tamuli series. I'm now starting on the Galaxy Unknown series by Thomas DePrima.

I'm in my light-fantasy mood at the moment. Probably take a few more books and I'll be wanting my hard-science sci-fi back.

I'm addicted to Andy McNab books at the mo. Read Bravo two Zero years ago and thought it was awesome, then my missus got me his new Nick Stone book for christmas. I didn't know he wrote fiction until then, just thought he was some dude from the SAS. So, after reading his latest book first I thought I should start at the beginning of the series and haven't stopped.

Apart from them it's been the Divine Comedy on and off

I didn't really get on with the McNab books.

"So we let them have it"
"Dave gave them the good news"
"I came home, got married, then that was it I was back to the regiment"

All a bit superficial and not terribly engaging I thought.

Currently reading 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, last read Stephen King - Under The Dome (which I thoroughly enjoyed)

Currently reading

A Kingdom Besieged.....Raymond Feist.

The Crusades Through Arab Eyes....Amin Maaloof.

The Demon-Haunted World....Carl Sagan.

If you're looking for page turners, then Stieg Larsson's Millenium trilogy is fantastic.

I recently finished Alistair Campbell's novel, All in the Mind. Regardless of what you think of the man, he has penned one of the finest novels I have read to date.

And if you haven't read any of the Harry Potter novels, do so immediately. :p
