Whatever happened to Civ 5!?

From what I remember they were teasing that details would be revealed in 2008.. but now that never happened and its 2010!

Civ 4 is great and all but I'd really like a update with better graphics, new game mechanics, features etc! Oh re-make Alpha Centauri while your there as well lol.
 
There was 5/6 years between the first 4, so doubt its going to be around for another couple of years.

Edit: Then again i was looking at the latest patch date on wiki, not the release. It is due now :)

I remember searching for news on Civ:5 in 2008 and there still is absolutely nothing confirmed at all.

Puzzling really :(

Still I've been using mods in the meantime. Rise of man and Fall from Heaven are both fantastic.

Another Rise of mankind fan - That's my default Civ start up now (with 'A New Dawn' add in ROM mod)

Must say I can't see it been the same on Facebook. If Revolution was dumbed down for consoles imagine what it will be like for the people on facebook (i.e many non gamers).

I'll check out that mod though! I remember Beyond the Sword also came with loads of mods but I never got round to trying them.
