Hi Guys,

As I am sure you all know, Computex is currently on! I am very excited to bring you these announcements from Cooler Master!

Cooler Master Rekindles Maker Spirit, Launches ‘Make It Yours.’ Slogan

COMPUTEX’15, June 2, Taipei, - Cooler Master is launching a new slogan: “Make It Yours.” The slogan kicks off a new drive to harness “the Maker Spirit” in Cooler Master’s products and community.

As part of a drive to capture the maker spirit earlier this year, Cooler Master invited a team of renowned PC industry veterans, including Richard Surroz from the US, Peter Brands and Richard Kier of the Netherlands, Mathieu Heredia of France, and Ronnie Hara of Brazil (by way of Japan), to Taipei for a week-long workshop on the future of case technology.

The result was the development of a concept case, the MasterConcept, that combines cutting edge product design with feedback from some of the world’s leading modders and super users. As such, the MasterConcept is the ultimate makers’ case; its super flexible interior and exterior modularity allows anyone to create a PC that is uniquely theirs in form and function.

Cooler Master Launches MasterCase - World’s First Mid-Sized Modular Tower with Exterior Expandability

COMPUTEX’15, June 2, Taipei – Cooler Master is excited to announce the launch of the MasterCase, the world’s first mid-sized modular tower with exterior expandability. The MasterCase heralds a new family of cases that offer unparalleled control over form and function. It draws inspiration from the MasterConcept, a revolutionary concept case developed at Cooler Master Headquarters in Taipei.

In the MasterCase, FreeForm allows a single case to support a host of different configurations, enabling users to upgrade rather than replace their case and system. Through a unique clip-and click panel, FreeForm also lets users vertically adjust or entirely remove drive cages, allowing for multiple system configurations like home servers, water-cooled workstations, or gaming rigs with dual-slot extra-long graphics cards.

Sorry for size of images, I am so bad at this.

Cooler Master’s FreeForm™ Modular System
The MasterConcept and MasterCase break new ground in the way PCs are designed, made, bought and used. Fundamental to this reimagining is FreeForm™. Cooler Master wants users to have absolute control over how their case looks and functions. So FreeForm provides options to adjust the case exterior via the replacement of panels and doors, while also offering unparalleled flexibility for a mid-sized case in terms of interior layout.

I must be having a bad day, I like the concept but the exterior I'm not so keen on. Might be one of those that looks better in the flesh. It certainly has some good interior design ideas for sure.

That is the beauty of "Make It Yours"! Not keen on it? Then MAKE IT YOURS! The idea behind these cases is the modularity and the ability to remove and change the externals and internals of the case. That is all I can say for now, but keep your eyes peeled ;)

One thing I will say is that I see it takes 140mm fans, but Coolermaster do not seem to have any 140mm fans listed.

I see plenty of 120mm and a few 200mm available.

While we do not carry any ourselves currently, we do not want to hold back and discourage system builders purely because we do not manufacture certain items at present. However, in the past we have made 140mm fans and 140/280mm AIO liquid coolers, so it is about maintaining compatibility with any product that someone may have.

That's interesting. I don't suppose there's any chance that Stacker 830 parts will fit on this chassis? :P

MAKE IT YOURS!

:P

I know but it all adds up so all depends on cost now if its worth it or just buy another case that already has the space and cages included in the first place.

Pricing on the case and accessories is still TBA, but I will be sure to keep the post up to date!

Update

There are more pictures available on what is currently on our booth! Really gives you an idea of the modularity idea behind the cases and what they are capable of!

Check it out:

Will I be able to put a flat roof on it?

Don't like sloped tops.

There are plenty more accessories to be announced, this is just an early sample of what will be possible.

Looks lovely

Not into into large cases but it still looks great.

The MasterCase 5 is only 460mm tall, so while not the smallest of cases, it is nowhere near a behemoth like our Cosmos 2!

Can it take a 280mm AIO such as my H110i GT in the roof section/box section I see is optional/part of the Pro.

Yes, the case will indeed take 280mm radiators in the top, as tested with our Nepton 280L *cough*shamelessplug*cough*

Full rad support:
Up to 280mm top
Up to 360mm front
Up to 140mm rear

However, if you want to fit larger ones, or odd dimensioned ones, then we encourage you! Remember, make it yours ;)

real cool just saw the live stream with the new cpu cool, water cooling kit, bluetooth psu, and mouse, keyboard and headphone whit changeable speakers

We have a great many new products on display at Computex, and all of it is centered around our new "Make It Yours" concept so everything is modular and customisable to aid in the making it yours.

Does this case come with that side panel? I sure hope so?
Hotlinked image.

There will be a multitude of options upon launch, so you will just have to wait and see ;)

hopefully you can easily remove the 5.25" bays and make that top i/o panel only have the power/reset buttons and leds (probably won't happen, but I would personally love it if that was possible)

All the 5.25 bays are removable and relocatable should you wish, this allows you to fit the full 360mm radiator in the front of the case. If you are painting the case, you would always smooth off the bits/the holes you don't want. Look up "car bumper smoothing"

Also can you have a hard drive cage where the power supply is so its not affecting the 360 rad in the front?

You are indeed able to run the front rad and have HDDs in the PSU section :)
