What's a 6970 like in BF3?

Hey guys

Been looking at the 6970 and 6950 to replace my old 460.

Just wondering what FPS people are getting in BF3 with high settings at 1920x1080 with 2xaa?

Been perfect on my rig with max settings but I do switch off AA as I never notice the graphical difference.

I notice the difference between no AA and x2 but x2 to x4 there isnt much in it for me.

You will need crossfire if you want to run 'full' Ultra settings with AA.

However you should be able to run 1080p ultra with AA off at decent fps. Overclocking helps. If you want rock solid 60fps give or take you may need to disable HBAO and or SBAO.

Well i dont mind just running a mix of ultra and high with 2x AA and HBAO. Even running high with solid FPS im happy with.

i have mine capped at 60 fps all on high 2msaa at your res goes higher but i keep it capped at 60 as that seems smoother with msi ab . a 6970 is about twice as fast in bf3 as your own card. at same res.
