Hi all. Got a tefal 28" one but used it in my new dishwasher (counter one) and its base is going all white, same on a diff one i got from tk max. Plus the non stick stuff is starting to look scratched cos of it i think.

Anyone know of a solid frying pan, that i can get easy, and isnt too expensive like £20 ish and good reviews. Prefer one that doesnt stick food like eggs if possible tho doesnt have to be the usual non stick ones.

Or

These are what most professional kitchens use, inexpensive, sturdy and can go through a commercial dishwasher hundreds of times without any problem.

Edit:

If you actually want a 28" pan your choices are limited :p

Not fussed on size to buy just saying what i had, i had a 28" sorta size tefal and about a 12" other one that is a diff brand. Long as big enough to fry a steak, or do eggs, or do a spag bol sauce or somit.

edit cm not inches lol :)

That first link btw says
  • Not suitable for dishwashers

Just covering their backs, I work as a chef and they're fine.

Ours go through the dishwasher 100+ times a week. I would just say try not to have loose metal like knives, spoons etc. in at the same time as they could chip the coating; but that's true of any non-stick.

Aluminium generally isn't advised in dishwashers but stainless steel works fine and if you use it right, things don't stick.

I've had a Vogue Tri Wall 280mm for just over 6 years and a couple of the smaller ones as well. They get abused most evenings and thrown in the dishwasher and still look spotless. Slightly more than £20 though.
