Hello folks

Looking into a new 12700k build, with 128GB DDR4 RAM and 2x 2TB PCIe4 m.2 SSDs.
Trying to narrow down my motherboard options. I'm looking for something around the £250 mark. A crucial thing is low latency as I'll mainly be using it for music production. And ideally I want relatively low energy consumption and temps.

The three I'm looking at are:
Asus TUF Gaming Z690 Plus D4.
MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk DDR4.
ASRock Z690 Extreme (or possibly the ASRock Z690 Steel Legend - I can't work out how these two boards differ).

Anyone got any thoughts/experience of these boards?

Thanks

Very good point, and I did check that board out earlier in my search - I can't recall what made me move on from it. But the three I mentioned are the ones I'm looking at now.
Actually I'm very nearly decided on the Asus TUF Gaming Z690 Plus D4.
But I'm a bit concerned that it uses 5k capacitors.
How much of a problem is that considering that, even though I won't be doing any extreme overclocking, this is a board that I would expect to last me a good five years?
How much of a problem are 5k capacitors?

Thanks

Good to know, thank you.
Which Gskill RAM did you go for? They have so many different types I get confused!
The RAM I'm looking at is Corsair Vengeance LPX 128 GB (4 x 32 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory - it seems ok. I think.

What would be the difference of 3600 CL18 and 3200 CL16?
I gather that performance would be basically identical, is that right? If that is the case why make these two distinct kits?

Thanks mickyflinn!
But which of these two would have the couple of extra fps / increased bandwidth?
I thought maybe the faster speed of the 3600 would be offset by the worse latency, and the lower speed of the 3200 would be mitigated by the improved latency. Or something.

Ok, thanks. But there must be some kind of difference, or advantage one has over the other in certain circumstance perhaps, or else why would they make two distinct kits?

Thanks
