What's a good step up from a X1900XT?

I've just bought a E6600 from MM to replace my E6300 and looking to step up the graphics too. I don't mind buying used so what would be a noticable step up from here? Budget is around £150.

An opportunity may arise to purchase a Master Edition 512MB X1900XT. Would going CrossFire be better than going for a 320Mb 8800GTS?

8800 or 2900 series are the only upgrades from the x1900xt available right now.

He won't have 1gb, only 512mb as you lose 1x cards memory.

8800 GTS or 2900 XT are the only way to go.

flog the xt, don't bother getting a second (as unfortunately, crossfire/sli STILL haven't matured

I nearly took it but it's just too near the new price. The comfort factor of the warranty is worth more than the difference.

Yeah but I don't need a GTI cooler as I won't be clocking it so it's hard to justify the extra expense, either new or used.
