Student Finance England.. :mad:

Some of you might know Uni need their tuition paid by the 31st of March.

Student finance pulled my tuition on the 28th of March. They think I've started a new degree :s

Rang them many times, they don't quite understand I'm not on a new course. I've also had Uni prove i haven't changed degrees.

Also got a letter from them asking for me to return £400 as the 'grant was overpaid'. My grant is less than last years, my parents income hasn't changed either. They also paid me £198 in March which was weird because our loans weren't due until the 9th of May.

I surely have some grounds of unfair ******/lack of brain/professionalism, uni threatening to kick me out during exams and it's all a bit dodgy tbh.

Show your letters you have got from student finance to the university so they can see your circumstances? Would have thought the uni would be able to help you out with a temporary loan until things get sorted as well?

They stopped my youngest daughters finance about a month ago and it's took us a month to sort it.
She's just at the end of her second year on her placement with ex Everton player Barry Horne at a Private school.

Done it all pal, got another meeting with Uni on thursday. University are completely gobsmacked at how SFE have dealt with my account.

Yeah i'm not surprised, I do get the feeling most universitys hate the way SFE deal with people and the way their company works etc.. fingers crossed it gets all sorted as its not what you need in the slightest at this time of the year with exams and stuff!

They had me doing the wrong degree for an entire year (Law instead of Computing Science) and I still got all my money

One of my friends had her finance pulled the same as you, but hers was because she's resat a couple years so they're not paying anymore. A heads up would've been nice. She decided to drop out so you're doing better than her!
