What's Andover Like?

I'm thinking of buying a flat, and Andover in Hampshire is a possibility. Can anyone tell me what it's like?

I might do that, but have been renting for a long time so quite keen to buy now.

Location wise, its great. You can get to so many places easily. Andover itself is not so great, not many nice bars, clubs restuarants things to do etc... But you do have Winchester & Basingstoke just down the road.

Thanks. I'm not too bothered about a lack of bars and clubs because I don't do much of that these days anyway.

Ideally I am looking for somewhere quiet and civilised, with low crime levels.
