What's App call feature - Activation Thread! - ** ANDROID Only **

** looks like the activation window has finished now, so your whats app will not activate - will keep a look out for when the next window will open -sorry chaps!**

*Think this is Android only at the moment *

Most have heard by now that what's app have enabled a call feature now, but it's invite only.

Basically you need to be on latest what's app version, and need to be called by someone who has this feature which then enables it on your what's app account

I have this feature and wanted to share it with fellow ocuk members, i hope this is allowed by the mods.

PM me your number and I will call you, you just accept the call and then hang up to get it activated, if you don't answer it doesn't get activated. Once activated post on thread saying all OK.

All numbers will be deleted after, once you are activated you then can call others to activate them.

Il try get through as many as I can today :)

Thanks pal! Feature seems to work great, I guess viber and other similar apps should be worried when thisccomes out of beta....
 
How is the calling quality on this? I've been reading comments that it can be pretty poor.

Does the Play Store really need another over-WiFi calls app? Seems to be pretty well covered, epescially when Viber is entirely free (WhatsApp I presume will continue to charge £0.69, perhaps more for the calls feature?) and is almost flawless in performance.
