I'm looking to lower the cost of my build and i think the graphics card is the place to do it ! I have spotted one of these:

However I was reccommended one of these by the fine people off this forum:

Would the cheaper one be suitable to play heavy games? I.e. FSX and other sim games?

Cheers Chris

please excuse the poor english in the thread title

duh didn't look at the links properly. 5770 is worth the extra moneyz, doubt 5570 will run fsx, not even sure if the5770 will run it at resonably res

fsx is more cpu bound, the ati 5770 will play the game at a reasonable framerate only if you got a decent cpu. the 5770 will power future games and current games at a decent res and framerate.

It kinda depends on what resolution ur gaming at. If 1080p i would doubt u'd be happy with the performance of a 5770 even to be honest. The 4890 might be a better choice.

I've never played FSX but I've read lots of people saying that this game STRONGLY favours nVidia cards. So you may be better off getting a second hand GTX260/275/280. If buying new, a GTX 260.
