depends on the use of the pc?

for video editing and other process heavy, multi threaded tasks a six core is ideal.

for mainly a gaming pc with light use of other tasks then a quad core is better.

It's all DEPENDANT ON THE USE OF THE SYSTEM - like the poster before said. The AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GHz is indeed the most expensive but not neccessarily the best for all tasks. I'd go with a high end quad core for gaming over the six core. Or vice versa for video rendering/encoding.
