whats best for getting most out of my 3800x2 no oc

not entirely sure what you are asking.

If you don't have problems don't bother installing the optimizer...if you do have problems then try it out.

and Cool and Quiet is fine if you aren't overclocking.
 
3800+ and not overclocking, are you mad? you can generally chuck them straight in and get 2.5Ghz staight off :rolleyes:
 
na you cant just Throw them into that speeds. my amd 4400 wouldnt go past 2.4 untill i knew what i was doing lol
 
just wondered which was best as some say they have probs with system if theyve installed either no oc yet as just put system together and not much cash to spend on buying new cpu if if destroy it love how some just say it will oc to such and such each cpu is diff with different factors to consider.
 
You can't destroy a CPU by basic overclocking.

CPUs only die if you shove 1.9V thorugh them at 70+C

Put your memory on a 166mhz divider, then start increasing FSB by 10mhz a go and testing using SP2004 Orthos.

Aint difficult, I was doing it when I was 12.
 
yes i see what u saying but it was said basically just stick it at 2.5 and as u know u do it in small steps not just wack it up to what others have got i bet you knew that when you were 12 :D
 
read how to oc and it will tell u to do it in small steps how many just dive in at the deep end it might work for some but thats not how its supposed to b done.
 
lol my 4600+ went straight into the desktop (first boot) running fine at 2.6Ghz, it has done 2.95Ghz but i decided 2.8 was a nice number, pity im using my celeron system at the moment, since im busy 'work in progress' trying to get my watercooling to fit inside my other case :)
