There's some instructions on the Arctic Silver Site however I've always made sure both surfaces are spotlessly clean and spread the thinnest even coat over the heatsink and CPU. The thing to remember is that the paste is there only to fill in the gaps, metal to metal contact is the better source of heat transfer, a large amount of paste between the 2 surfaces will only hinder cooling.akuji said:Also whats the best way of putting arctic silver on the cpu, might be a noob question but ive never put it on before =( and tbh im a little pooing myself just incase i put too much or too little on.
Exactly the way I do itmisterPK said:I'd go for putting the memory, CPU and heatsink (depending on size and need for backplate) on the board, then put it in the case and add the cards, wires and so on.PK!
