Hi there ive got 1GB of 667Mhz memory .. now would it be a good idea to buy another 2GB of 667 so i get 3GB.. or take out the 1GB of 667 and put in 2GB of 800Mhz or faster memory?

Not sure about mixing memory, especially if its different sizes. Maybe just grab a 2GB kit and flog your old set.

The performance improvement is so minimal it's really not worth doing. And mixing sticks is a potential nightmare too. Some motherboards are fine - others don't like it, some RAM needs 1.8V, others need more.

I honestly doubt it's worth it.
