9550 has dx9 features supported so can play battlefield 2 although at crap settings.
the ti4400 has more overall power but is limited to dx8.1.
tough call between them since the 9550 overclocks quite well hitting 9600 speeds. all in all its a very tight decision.

I was looking at both specifications side by side and they look pretty much the same. I wouldnt mind "Trying" to overclock either one of them, or the processor but the options to do so in the BIOS seem locked. I believe you can unlock them by changing jumpers on the motherboard but have lost the manual and the motherboard seens to be no existant (been looking for it recently)
The main reason I'm asking is because the system will be running WoW and have the choice to choose.

Personally I'd go with the GF4 although as mentioned it is not a hardware dx9 part which could be an issue if you are planning on keeping the card a long time. IMO this isn't much of an issue though since 99% of games which won't run on the gf4 will be unplayably slow on the 9550 anyway.
In terms of power the ti4400 is comparable to the 9600pro, and as such should be a faster card for WoW than the 9550.
