Whats better ???

Hi all

Im just wondering is there a sli set up thats more powerfull then.

1x geforce 8800 gtx

please dont count cards like 2 x 8800 gts or gto etc.

i have 2 x 7800 gtx at the moment and will be doing a upgrade so i just need some info.

To be honest the SLI setup you have isnt going to be too far off the 8800GTX id of thought

if your arent going to get two 8800 cards for SLI then dont bother.

Gaming performance of an 8800GTX will be better than your 7800GTX's...no doubt. A mate went from 2 x 7800GTX's in SLI to one 8800 GTX...and thought it was outa this world!

2 x 1900XT's I had for a bit...and I still think i get better perofmance from my single 8800GTX...also same price. The added image quality with the 8800 cards mean they take it...hands down!

A single GTX is what you want

I went from a 7800GTX SLI rig to a 8800GTX and the jump is significant

Athlon 4000+ (stock) & 7800GTX SLI (max overclock, can't remember the figures) = ~6000 points in 3dmark06

Core2Duo (3.2GHz) & 8800GTX = ~11000 points in 3dmark06

Yeah the GTX is the fastest card out there, the only 2x cards together that will beat it are 2x 8800 GTS's, nothing else can, in SLi or Crossfire.
