Whats Better ?

Hi,
Currently using a Gigabyte DS4 rev 1.0 with a Q6600 GO.
A mate has offered me his Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R at a very low price.
How do the DS3R'S clock compared to the DS4 rev 1.0 ?

I had a DS3R, very nice boards.. I got my E6750 to 3.2Ghz at everything stock, which seems normal on those mobos.

Mine died though, Went into a constant cycle of reboots before reaching POST.

After looking on the net etc i think its worth changing.

What kinda FSB can you get with the DS4?

Unless it's holding back your overclock, then it could be argued that the DS3R is actually a downgrade as the P965 chipset was pretty damn good.

My DS4 will not allow over 3.0 gig stable.
Have tried everything over the last 12 months. :mad:

So i reckon its time for a change

The rev 1.0's were never that great with quads. ~330mhz FSB was usually the limit. The later revs were a little better, but the P35 board will be a lot better for overclocking.
