Hey

I have an issue, i uploaded it to Youtube so you can see.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5tndnef7ag

if i turn off Xfire and then back on it stops. I have a feeling its afterburner causing it.. anyone got any ideas how to stop it happening so i can use AB?

EDIT:
I notice that on the PC the video is blank? yet on the mobile app it works fine.

although if you change the quality setting it works on Desktop.

Its because you're either

A) Using unofficial overclocking mode. Stop using that if you are. Its no longer supported by AMD.
B) You've either overclocked the core too far and you need to increase core voltage. Or you're running at stock and have undervolted too far. The solution is to try and increase core voltage 1/2 notches until the flickering vanished.

I'm doing none of those.
100% stock. Does it again after reinstalling AB and having its virgin settings.

With AB off its perfectly fine.

Furry muff.

Well i can replicate exactly that same flickering by lowering core voltage slightly too much to be stable. However during this i have afterburner running. If it does it only does it with afterburner, then you know the cause. For me the solution is just to increase voltage a notch. However it only does it for me if i undervolt too far or if i clock the core too much and don't provide enough voltage.

WHY are you running with force constant voltage on? Disable that. Disable Unofficial overclocking mode completely, no powerplay this or that. Your best bet for ocing 290x cards is either GPU Tweak or Sapphire Trixx.
