What's going on here!? GTX 970 overclock

So I decided to overlock my GTX 970 last night, I've gone to +500mhz memory clock, +200mhz Core clock and 103% power limit.

Even at full throttle for 20 mins the GPU is only reaching 42 degrees and I only have the stock GPU fans!? I'm just wondering if my overclock has even been applied as I'm not the most experienced overlocker on earth. I did a benchmark and I'm getting a 10fps increase from the stock clock so surely it's been applied, here's a screenshot of MSI Afterburner

Use GPU Z to monitor frequency at load etc or even the built in monitoring within AB. This should show you exactly what is going on.

Nvidia inspector should also help to apply the clock in the first instance
