What's going on with Imgur?

Internet says

Basically a month ago the owners Medialab fired all US based staff apparently. There are no developers anymore. Parts of the site have been failing for the last couple of days. These are all trending pics on the home page so the mod team aren't around or at best are working part time now.

Plus they messed with it a few weeks ago and linking it to forum is more complicated on a computer and I still haven't figured out how to do it from an iPhone!

They also fired all the old mod team about 6 months ago. Another pure example of enshittification.
 
It's funny then if you scroll long enough it becomes rad.


e: oh, the links don't work either, like the one directly above these words? Holy loly, site has like 10 minutes before it dies :/

e2: i.imgur.com/ylX7xxM_lq.mp4 hmm, is it the OCUK forum software changing the copied link into a media format (?) and then it breaks? Either way, imgur looks stuffed.

I used Imgur, had no idea what going on with Imgur.

Read above posts and googled found out Medialab fired all Imgur developers but I dont know why all the posts on imgur ranted at Imgur moderators removed their posts because it violated community rules. I had no idea what type of contents moderators removed images from users posts.

I checked all my images on imgur so none of it were removed, so I got some of my private sexual contents that was not removed so everything is good.

Tested my imgur links on this post worked fine. :confused:

God I hope Imgur will not end up like Photobucket or TinyPic.

Hmm, I noticed my signature was gone earlier but it's back now.

I've got a couple of workflows that I call via the share button on the phone, one is a straight upload, the other one resizes first and they both work perfectly well, and I've got a macOS app that I call from a service, which still works, but that will stop when Intel support disappears. For the moment, I'm all good. I've probably posted tens of thousands of picture to imgur over the years.

I had that for the iPhone, it stopped ages ago!
