As I am building my first computer I have been monitoring the prices over the last few weeks and the price of an intel 3570k has been pretty constant but from the first to the second of June all retailers have put their prices up by £20 to £30 pounds, how can they justify this, has intel told them to do this or is it just greed and as they have all done this, does this mean they are in a cartel and all agree to do this to rip the public off.

it is the same with all computer components the prices increase and decrease i think it depends on the cost of production to what the price is going to be. etailers will always try to keep there prices as competitive as possible

I put together a spec list for my girlfriend about 3 weeks ago and the only component price that hasn't gone up is the optical drive. In total it's about £20 odd more now :/

I've been watching the prices for weeks overclockers seems to be ok give or take a few quid , other online sellers seem to go up about £20-£30
