Been waiting for this psu OCZ ZT 650W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply to come in stock for over 2 months but overclockers say OCZ are having supply issues anyone know any info i also notice other OCZ psus are out of stock also.
Was looking at getting it because it was totaly modular.

OCZ seem to be a company in trouble.

They've screwed up their supply of NAND flash components by not having any long term contracts in place.

They rely solely on Micron for supply and when Micron needed what it could produce for its own SSDs OCZ were left out in the cold as they didn't have any contracts guaranteeing supply.

It seems like they're in a similar predicament with PSUs.

Thanks guys you might of saved me from a bad buy then.

I wonder what will happen with there 5 year warranty then on power supplies for other owners also overclockers never told me OCZ where in trouble.

Why wouldn't I buy another one? Well because they short you one cable, the cables provided are cheap, and way too short. The power supply is only partially modular, that being said, it ISN'T modular enough.

I might be over generalising but imo, OCZ are pretty rubbish. I had a 700w modxstream which didn't last a year. Then their RMA process required me to ship it to them in the netherlands or somewhere far away at my expense.
I didn't bother and binned it. I hear their SSD's can be prone to dying rather fast. I don't think it'll be any great loss if they do go under, there's plenty of other better companies around.
