some one was talking about an episode of futurama on another thread and it got me thinking about how much I miss futurama and about a year and somewhat ago i read somewhere that futurama was going to start up again and i havent heard anything since. just wanted to know if any one knows when the first new episode might get aired or if the mag i read was a complete bullcr*p.

not sure on the details

but i think comedy central bought out the licenses/royalties to futurama and are proceding to make four movies on the series, each movie spanning four episodes

so 16 episodes due to come out in 2008

i beleive the rumours are that they will end the story after these and not continue it

(i may have got company wrong)

FUTURAMA which was unceremoniously cancelled by Fox, only to find an after-life on DVD and the Cartoon Network. Starting in 2008, 16 new episodes are being produced which will also be turned into four direct-to-DVD movies. The first --FUTURAMA: BENDER’S BIG SCORE -- will be released December 2007.

wow some quick responses there cheers lol cant wait hope i dont go blind by 2008 from sitting infront of the monitor for long hours.

hehe benders big score cant wait. im sure there are millions of fututrama fans still out there. They shouldnt have knocked futurama of the air. you know what they really need to cancel is that Simpsons thing its getting really boring and dull i watch a new episode now and then and every time i watch an episode of the simpsons i end up promising myself that i will never watch new ep.
FAMILY GUY and FUTURAMA RUUUUULE

I ended up buying all 4 seasons, yes just 4 seasons of this classic cartoon show, it still is classic and dare I say Bender is better than Homer and Bart put together.

So well written and it being set in the year 3000, the shows can never tire, going to allsorts of planets and getting up to allsorts on earth.

Captain Zapp Brannigan endless fun, never gets old for the short time he is in the episodes.

Bender: Ahhh, what an awful dream. Ones and zeroes everywhere... and I thought I saw a two.

[Leela just jumped into the river of Slurm to rescue Fry from drowning and surfaces with him. Bender surfaces with them whistling]
Leela: Bender, why did you jump in?
Bender: Everybody was doing it... I just wanted to be popular

i'd say it's pretty similar. it just comes down to wether you are a sci-fi fan or not i guess.

although i have to admit, personally i'd rather watch futurama, despite not especially being into sci-fi. :/
