Whats is this "watermark" in Windows 7 - and it's removal?

What is the watermark in Windows 7 ? . It would appear that some people to want to remove it.

Start > run > winver

no idea why anyone would want to get rid of the watermark.. lol some people are just fussy i guess, can imagine someone sitting at their pc getting really ****ed at the little bit of text on their desktop

The first thing I did when I installed Windows 7 was to remove the watermark and all looked ok for the first couple of days but since then the thing reappeared and now wont go away :confused:

Albeit I've only tried removing it by editing user32.dll.mui file

my htpc is running windows 7 (as is my laptop for that matter) and my htpc is connected to a plasma....id rather not have that writing there if i can help it. Though the only time it would be an issue is when im only playing music and a static desktop is displayed, at which point i switch the tv off anyway
