ive got a couple of bikes, a yammie XJR1300SP, which i bought new back in 02, & a Kwacker ZRX1200 which i bought back in 06. now a couple of years ago i parked the XJR up & SORN'd it, with the intention of doing it up one day, which needless to say hasn't happened. it's spent the last 2 years SORN'd & gathering dust whilst i zipped about on the ZRX. :p

Mechanically it's sound, cosmetically however it's a bit of a bag of poo :D

so, what's it worth, would it be worth my while to un SORN it asking price wise, or won't it make much difference, or would i be better off just bunging it on ebay as is?.

it's 1 owner from new ( me ), full service history, MOT history upto 09.

I'd say 200 I'll give you 300 today

Seriously though if you have the time just mot it then whack it on ebay with a good description and photos and it'll sell well. If you can't be bothered then just whack if on as it is, it will still sell well

Seriously considering the XJR1300 as my next bike. It seems they all suffer from the pitted look, which increases with age. Yours looks no different.

sadly the standard of finish on the XJR leaves a lot to be desired, i used to be in the XJR owners club, & the only thing any one complained about was how poorly they "weathered", & especially if like me you use your bike all year round.

that's what led me to get the Kawasaki in the end.

Gutted to see it in that state, I reckon a wire brush & some Black engine spray is in order.
Haven't got a clue about price but with nowt on it I reckon 500 quid'ish.

Was going to say £1600!

I just sold my 1996 speed triple, in slightly better condition but a fair bit older, for £1400.

Cheap bikes under £2k always sell well :)
