whats main things to look for when buying a 2nd hand scooter for the first time please?

i have a load of info i collected a few years ago off here but covid messed up me ever getting one and never had the cash since for a new one but what would i look for if i was going to buy a 2nd one either off ebay or somewhere else please? 50cc/125cc scooter.
