I won't be upgrading this year as my GTX 480 still runs everything i want it to run.

However, i am looking to upgrade next year (mostly for Rome 2) and wondering what is on the horizon and when it is coming out?
 
well you have the 8000 series gpus expected 1/2 quarter of next year you have piledriver next month and steamroller 2/3 quarter next year I THINK you have Haswell coming out havent heard anything from nvidia 700 series

Total War games tend to be both CPU and GPU demanding with all the little soldiers on screen being rendered and calculated. What's your CPU like?
 
That CPU is still rocking.

And very wise of you to actually wait for the game to come out first before upgrading as it may be so demanding it requires CPU. MB and GPU all to be changed.
