At the moment I believe the answer is nothing.
I don't think they've got anything that will be ready to replace the shuttle as a like for like craft, so will be falling back to modules similar to the Russians (isn't the advance of technology wonderful when politicans are in charge?).
I believe they were meant to have replaced them about a decade ago, but funding was cut so that project was stopped, and they have only recently started seriously looking at a feasible replacement that can do the same sort of range of jobs..
I think they should replace it with the Millenium Falcon.

come on, that's a piece of junk
I think this is true. I'm not that into space exploration and all that but I'm fairly up-to-date, I think. As far as I know NASA haven't really got a replacement for the space shuttle. At the moment I believe the answer is nothing.

Paying the Russians in vodka then?As Werewolf says, it's called the Orion.

As far as I'm aware, NASA will rely on Soyuz for servicing the ISS in the gap between the Shuttle flying and Orion being put into service.

The Space ShuttleGX2
Its 2 Shuttles, strapped together with a Shuttle Layering Interface (SLI) comand module that will allow 50-100% faster travel to the moon, and provide a much clearer view of space for the passengers....
