Whats sake like?

No idea, but if you enjoy it now would be a good time to stock up.
I've got some, it's a cheaper brand but to me it sort of tastes like a diluted sherry with a little something else in there and less of a grape-y taste. I've been drinking it cold, though, and apparently it's traditionally consumed warm so I might just be doing it wrong. Or just have spent too little to get anything decent. 
Like wine, there are lots of different types. It doesn't all taste the same. There are some delicious ones.
If it's a supermarket chain like Asda, they're likely to sell the most accessible types, so you're probably OK with choosing one you like you look of.

You don't. There's warm and cold sake, I prefer cold.
You probably just had a bad one. There are some delicious sakes.

Well, buy it and see if you like it. Like I say, it's likely to be an accessible one. Sake can be dry, fruity, sweet or nutty. I say go for it and experience something new.
Ahhh, learn something new every day. I've had it in a Japanese restaurant before and it came out warm, so I assumed it was the way things were done.

I had it when I was in Japan with my friend and his dad. I had to drink some and it was bloody horrible.
Apparently, when you are in a good mood, it'll have a sweet after taste.
Though I was pretty sure I was having a good time until I tasted it.
