Hi,

Just trying to understand what it is that is so hard for Game Developers to enable SLI/Crossfire in a way that if you have multiple screens then you can assign a graphics card to a screen. For example , triple 1440p monitors and triple 1080tis, one for each?

Matt

How many gamers would use that feature, and what about the gamers that don't- does triple screen give advantage?
I don't just mean triple screen , could be dual screen, triple, 4 way etc and also single screen but dual graphics for double the performance aswell? Is it not possible to offload a screens worth of pixels to an individual card?

No there are lots of calculations which are not on single screens. Such as a beam of light from your far left screen bouncing off something on your far right screen. GPUs dont just display the pixels they are told to they need to render the scene and then display it.

So would you say its impossible then?

So im either going to be stuck with 3x1080p monitors , which will look poor in ways as I need big monitors , or get 3x1440p and turn the settings down a bit and perhaps lock it to 30fps
