It's heralded as the greatest sporting event there is, I used to play some golf and it's a decent day out, however, the greatest sporting event ever?

Golf is also rarely (if ever) a team sport and only every 2 years do the teams get together. It's also been going on since 1927 and the atmosphere is very much louder and more partisan than most golf events.

It's everything that's good about sport really;

-A good rivalry that's thrown up some really close results
-Played in the right spirit (generally...)
-Moments of individual brilliance under pressure
-Some great team performances
-The chance to see the world's best play with and against each other (McIlroy v Fowler was a dream draw after the year they've had, shame it wasn't as close as it should have been)
