Hey guys. I seem to remember that there was this neat software (or was it a game-specific tweak?) that was designed for people with dual-monitors who have the annoying problem of bezels right down the middle when playing FPS games or 3rd-person games like Oblivion.

This neat program shifted the camera viewpoint to the left screen. Basically it did what games like Dead Space and Just Cause do natively. The character is not dead center but hes on the left screen only. So the bezel down the middle aint a big deal. I made a very crude drawing in Paint to illustrate :D

Anyone know what Im on about lol. I remember using it on Oblivion and it worked great.

For those of us saving up money for that 3rd monitor to game in Eyefinity this will carry us through till then. I hope someone on here remembers hee hee.

Thanx!

i would LOVE to find this neat bit of software and try it for myself. Did you find out what it was?

No Im still lookin for it! I will defo jump on here and let ya'll know when I find it hee hee. It basically somehow shifted the camera viewpoint to one side so that people with dual monitors could game happily away without the characted stuck in the bezel. I distinctly remember it cuz I used to play Oblivion across two monitors on Windows XP because that OS allowed Horizontal Spanning (annoyingly removed from Win 7).

Just Cause 2 or 1? How do I enable this?

I meant JC2 sorry! You dont have to enable anything :) The game is designed by default so that the character is on the left.

Might have been SoftTH

Hmmm will check that out!

So let me get this perfectly straight; you're looking for software that ADDS a virtual space between the two monitors (in any game) to compensate for your bezel?

No :) . In most games your character is dead center in the screen right? What this app did was shift the character/camera viewpoint to the left. The main purpose of this was so that you could *see* what you were doing - aiming a gun, using a sword etc. All that would be lost if youre stuck in the bezel. Best way to imagine it is to think of the camera panning to the right a bit resulting in the game character appearing on the left.

Im starting to wonder wether it was a tweak to games .cfg file or something. Will look into it.
