Whats that program that kills off background apps in windows for gaming?

I seem to remember someone talking about a program that you can install that kills off all unneeded background apps in Windows XP task manager that can slow down your gaming experience?.

Anyone got any ideas what its called?.

Yeah, I know all about msconfig and task manager fellas, but I was looking for a "one touch" solution that could be toggled on and off quickly.

Its not actually for me, I rarely play games on the PC, its for a mate running CandC 3.
