I've heard this tune all over the place from an advert for some form of transport (either ferry or train or plane!), on a couple of programmes and most recently on I'm a celebrity get me out of here.

The only way I can think of describing it is that it sounds very much like the type of instrumental that would be on a James Bond film.

I know it's not much to go on but does anyone know the tune I mean?

Well the most famous ferry and plane advert songs are probably Zadok the Priest (from a cruise line) and the Flower Duet (BA) respectively. Can't say either of them are particularly Bond, tho I'd think he'd prefer Zadok to Flower.

Thanks for the post, I quite like both of them but the one I have in mind is always a string (violin) instrumental. It nearly sounds like the beginning or Millenium by Robbie Williams.

I think it was on one of the P&O adverts.

Thanks for link, I've bookmarked that site for future use but I still can't find the tune :D. Looks like that site only goes back to 2000, it must have been before then.

Not quite :D, violins play the largest part of it, it's very high pitch - nearly like whistling.

I've had a look through the other ads posted but I can't see it there. I'll have the get a mic a whistle it!
