What's the best 2.1 speaker setup?

What's the best 2.1 speaker setup for around £50?

I don't want to buy a 5.1 setup 'cause it'll just be wasted because of where my PC is situated. I was thinking about getting the X-Tensions Full Metal 2.1 Speaker System (SP-009-SL) but can't seem to find any reviews on it.

Have you considered headphones? For similar money, you'll get better surround experience (imo).

Yeah, I had thought about them, I suppose I could use my existing speakers for music and TV, and use headphones for gaming.

Which ones do you suggest?

I'm using some Creative iTrigue 3400, might be a tiny bit over budget, but they sure do have brilliant sound

save up for the Aego M ... theyre from more of a hi-fi background than the other tat thats on the market

Just got a set of these - and the sound is excellent. However it's only fair to point out that the satellites don't have a headphone socket - in fact, there's no headphone socket at all!

I think I'm going to go for the Sennheiser PC160 Pro-Gaming Headphones, anyone know if they're any good?
