Whats the best all rounder

Hey Guys,

I've got two machines, one has a E2140 and the other has a A64 3200 Winchester in it. Which one is the best all rounder? This may sound like a stupid question but i've been out of the hardware section since i bought the A64 and dont really know much about these C2D's

Ok thanks guys, another question, i know this isnt the overclocking section but the system with the C2D in it has a Team Elite 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 800MHz Dual Channel Kit in it, is there any scope for overclocking with this ram, i'm a little confused about the 800mhz bit and the apparent FSB setting in the BIOS which reads 200mhz could someone explain to me how it all relates to each other. Bear in mind the last time i knew how to overclock was when the intels had quad pump on the fsb to ram speed i.e. 200=800 is it still the same?

The RAM is doubled, the FSB is quad pumped.

@200

CPU speed = 9 multi x 200 = 1.8GHz
Memory = 2 x 200 = 400MHz (assuming 1:1 with the FSB)
Quad pumped FSB = 4 x 200 = 800MHz (but most people refer to the pre quad score when OC'ing, helps with thinking what the CPU and memory are at).

Great thanks for the explanation - so this basically means the ram is already running at its rated speed.

Interesting stuff, i put the FSB up to 250mhz and the machine failed to start, stuck it at 210 and gave me 90mhz overclock which was stable. Any ideas what to do?

FSB : DRAM = 3:4
CPU: C2D E2160 1800Mhz Multi=9 bus speed=200mhz Rated FSB=800mhz, 1.312V

This is all taken out of CPUZ
